Autumn at it's best

Autumn at it's best

What's not to love about all the glorious Autumn colours here in the UK at the moment? I simply can't help taking photographs every morning while walking the dog through the squelching Herefordshire fields and woods.

I love making and refuse to rush that part of the job. Every piece I make, I want to be as perfect as my hands can possibly make. I would rather turn away a commission than take on a piece of work that I know would be rushed. Although, the dark nights are not great for making, by mid afternoon the sunlight has dropped and "seeing" becomes tricky even with the best lights and glasses! So ... that's the down side to Autumn! Although the studio does look lovely and moody...
