Preparing for my summer sale with help from my new temporary assistants!

I am preparing for the Summer Sale that I mentioned in my last blog post. It feels so nice to have a tidy up and to get some of these pieces into new homes to be loved and enjoyed. It will be live on my website from Friday evening. There's a 24 hour private viewing for people on my mailing list prior to Friday. So sign up to my newsletter now!

You may have seen on my Instagram stories that my two nephews have been working with me one day a week during their school holidays. Tom (14yrs old) has been learning skills with me as part of DofE challenge. He's now a very talented maker, and learns things so quickly and I'm really impressed with how he is able to solder to precision and make judgements on tricky pieces of work. James (9yrs old) has worked up through the 'ranks' from 'Studio Caretaker' to 'Photographer' and editing images ready to go on the website!

Tom polishing. He is the only person other than me, who I trust on the polishing machine

Tom polishing; the only person I have ever trusted to use the polisher, other than myself of course!

James making contemporary earrings

Amongst many other things, my nephews have been making a small collection of earrings from start to finish, which will be in my Summer Sale.

Contemporary sterling silver earrings

The earrings Tom and James have made, and have passed my very high exceptions with flying colours! So, if you spot these in the sale and purchase any of them, they will both be delighted because they are going to get all the profits. A great way to teach the next generation about business!

James using my Mac to crop images

James has learnt how to take images, adjust and crop them, make a collage and file them on my system. He has a good eye for taking photographs too...

So if you fancy a pair or earrings they will be £35 including Royal Mail First Class Signed for Postage, and will be available from Friday 24th August to the general public or from Thursday 23rd for those signed up to my newsletter. Thank you!
