The words of Sarah, Craft Festival organiser: "The Craft Festival may be over but over 200 makers are feeling like they’ve just spent a week in Ibiza!". So true! We had such a lovely long weekend, the weather was perfect, lots of lovely clients popping by (great to see you all!) and meet new faces too. Catching up with exhibitors and friends really was the cherry on the top.
On my stand.
A very cool ice cream van, selling very cool ice creams!
Wearing one of my new designs, a stunning emerald ring, that just happened to match my top!
Such a colourful spot to watch the world go by.
I like this idea very much: make your own surfboard course with Otter Surfboards
Such a beautiful object and so popular at the festival: Vintage Mobile Cinema
So many gorgeous four legged friends, what's not to love about this sleepy one!
Once again I am exhibiting my contemporary rings and jewellery at Dazzle, OXO, London. I have a selection of jewellery on sale, including a few new pieces out of the studio for the first time. I'm hoping more will follow over the coming weeks. The show is open from Sunday 13th November to January 8th, so do call in if you are in the area.
I have chosen three rings to highlight this week. All have little films in the product pages, so do click to have a peak.
I make so many versions of this silver and diamond ring in all metals, different widths, profiles, and amount of diamond. I love it because one very simple ring become so personal to the person buying it or being given it as gift! To commission me, take a look at commissioning for more details.
This silver, gold and diamond ring is inspired by the first one, as I'm sure you can see. Two bands, a typical "Sue Lane" design, with a gold loop and a sprinkle of diamonds. This a new design to my collection, with a narrower version soon to be added online too.
Finally another two band, this silver gold and marquise peridot ring is one of my favourites. I love the colour and it always reminds me of leaves! Do take a look at the film that shows the movement to.
You may remember back in January I mentioned that I was taking break from shows this year. Quite a big step, but one I am really pleased I made, and I say this as we are nearly half way through the year already! I have been spending some time learning to make short films, which has been a steep leaning curve but one I am loving. You may have seen them popping up on social media and here on the website, and more are planned. I have also started to use film in a creative way to record and "look" differently. A huge change from working with a static image.
They are still experimental, and not at all perfect, but it's a great journey!
Have a look over on my Instagram blog to see some of the films I have been brave enough to put public so far!
I had the pleasure of spending some time with 4 year old Rosie yesterday, she even made her own ring, with a little bit of help.
