On Thursday 1st September two mums and their daughters joined me in the studio to make rings. They really enjoyed spending the day together and making something to remember at the same time. Julie and Jo made very similar silver rings and added a little gold cut from an old family ring. Leslie made a two band ring held with a little gold ring, and Katherine made a very chunky ring; she has tiny fingers and can never find one to fit! Here are some images from the day...
Workshop clean and tidy ready for the day.
Julie annealing the silver wire.
Shaping the wire into rings.
Soldering the ring.
Katherine gave her ring a hammered surface.
The finished rings. They were very well made and everyone went home very happy!
