On Saturday 26th March 2011, Sian and Matt spent the day in the studio with me making their own wedding rings. We had a lovely day and they made beautifully finished rings that anyone would be proud of. Working in 9k rose gold, here are the images from the day.

A length of 4mm by 1.5mm, 9k rose gold, D shaped wire.

Cutting the wire before shaping it.

After annealing the metal it is time to shape it using pliers.

The rings are the correct size, so the next step is to cut off the excess.

Applying borax to the joint before soldering.

Soldering

Filing and sanding the rings to remove any marks.

The finished rings, after being given a highly polished finish!
