Casting in the jewellery studio…

Sometimes I am asked to recycle jewellery, and this ring was an example of that process. I was asked to make one new ring using a couples old rings that carry a lot of sentimental value for them. All 4 rings were 22ct so a joy to work with. The images below show some of the stages to casting the ring (I used the sand casting process).  The ring is yet to be completed, and this will be done when the couple and their family visit the studio to help apply the planished finish – so the whole family can have an input the final ring.
